Rebrand & Rebirth

After nine decades of service, The Santa Barbara Foundation hired Ripe to reposition the organization and to create an authentic voice that tells their story, drives their social mission and solidifies their reputation as thought leaders in philanthropy.

We began by gathering qualitative data via interviews, creative exercises, focus groups and benchmarking to develop internal consensus around their purpose and vision. After establishing an insights-based brand strategy, Ripe utilized Design Thinking techniques to create communication pieces that expresses their new position. The result is a fresh nonprofit brand that brings more supporters to their table and improves the foundation’s capacity to serve the needs of their uniquely diverse community.
